Construction of underground mines
MINSTROY constructs underground mines for different minerals - coal, ore, mon-ore minerals:
-
sinking vertical shafts with diameter of 4- 8 m and depth of up to 1000 m - more
than 100 sites are constructed with total length of 40000 m.;
-
driving, rising and sinking of horizontal and inclined mine workings with cross-section
of 8 to 20 sq.m;
-
construction of big cross section workings, such as maintenance depots, pump
and drainage stations, tarnsformer stations, winding machine rooms, etc.
The underground mining and construction works are carried out by employing state-of-the-art
fully mechanized technologies for driving, sinking, rising, supporting and lining
mine workings, including special methods, such as rock freezing rock mass grouting
by cement, clay or chemical agents.
Coal mines
Bulgaria |
Balkan Coal Basin: Boyan Dol coal mine, Sheshkingrad coal mine, Kachulka coal mine, Paisiy coal
mine with total annual capacity of 500 000 tons. The mining activities were carried
out under difficult geological conditions, such as considerable mine pressure,
abundant underground water and methane emission, hazard of sudden coal and gas
outbursts. |
Maritsa Coal Basin: Heading of 95 000 m of horizontal and inclined mine workings, four vertical
shafts, as well as 15 000 m3 of big cross section workings. The total annual capacity
is 3 000 000 tons. The Merichleri 3 coal mine, Gita coal mine, Zdravets coal
mine, Novi rudnitsi coal mine were very successfully completed, regardless of
the heavy rock pressure and bad geological conditions. |
Bobov Dol Coal Basin: The mine complex Bobov Dol includes Babino coal mine, Mlamolovo coal mine,
Ivan Rusev and Bobov Dol 3 coal mine with total annual capacity of 3 600 000 tons.
Six winding and four ventilation shafts with cross-sections from 4 to 38 sq.m
lined by cast in place and reinforced concrete were sinked; 150 000 m of horizontal
and inclined workings were implemented, together with more than 100 000 ì3 of
big cross section workings. |
Cherno More mine – three vertical shafts and two horizontal as well as 6000 m
of courses. The annual capacity is 200 000 tons. |
Nigeria |
Owukpa Coal Mine: Complete design, building and construction, equipment delivery for the coal-mining
complex. |
Bulgaria |
As a part of the Gorubso Mining and Ore Processing Complex (lead and zink ore
production), more than 25 underground mine pits were implemented, complete with
the pithead frames, surface facilities and water-drainage facilitis, including:
» Yubileina shaft - cross-section of 46 sq.m, depth of 650 m.
» Metlivko shaft - cross-section of 36 sq.m., depth of 680 m.
» Androw shaft - cross-section 36 sq.m, depth 450 m.
» Goliam Palas shaft - cross-section 21 sq.m, depth 782 m. |
Chelopech Mining Enterprise - opening and development of mining pit for production
of lead-zink ore, including four vertical shafts with depth of 350 - 450 m and
diameters of 3 - 5,5 m. |
Bourgas Copper Mining and Ore Dressing complex - Rosen ore mine, Kartselevo ore
mine, Brudtse ore mine, Vurli Briag ore mine were put into production. |
Obrochishte Manganese ore mine - two vertical shafts with depth of 330 m;
Chiprovtsi ore mine and Marinovo ore mine for lead-zink ore;
Panagiurishte copper mine complex - elshitsa ore mine and radka ore mine;
Rare Metals Mining Company - Eleshnitsa and Seslavtsi mine pits. |
